To drive for tour around Nan
The Southern route. to Wiang Sa, Na Noi and Na Muen districts, this route have the natural tourism place which is Sri Nan National Park, the land of Nan river or will go to Pak Nai in the area of Na Muen district to watch Sirikit dam lake. .Nan Northern Route. starting we take to the Highway No. 1080 mainly. That is, from Nan to Tha Wang Pha district. From Tha Wang Pha district can use the Highway No. 1148 about 1.5 kilometres and separate to the Highway No. 1082 about 30 kilometres will reach Nanthaburi National Park. If we use this route, we might be able to use the route no. 1080 directly to Pua district with two choices that is if we go directly to the Highway No.1080 to Chiang Klang, Thung Chang and Chalerm Phrakiat districts. After that we use the Highway No.1081 to back to Bo Kluea district. Another route is from Pua district to go into the Highway No.1256 to the steep mountain of Doi Phu Kha in order to come to Doi Phu Kha National Park. From Doi Phu Kha to meet at the first route at Bo Kluea district. If we don.t go back to Chalerm Phrakiat district we can go down at Santi Suk, Mae Charim districts to the Mae Charim National Park and the famous Wa River. |

The trekking route - mountain climbing
There are many the famous trekking routes of Nan such as .The trekking route of Doi Phu Wae. of Doi Phu Kha National Park has the rock field, the high cliff, the view point of the sea of fog and the sunrise. The tour of Doi Phu Wae, we take at least 2 days and 1 night .the route to conquer the summit of Doi Phu Kha at the height of 1,980 metres. The challenging route of mountain trekker take about 3 days and 2 nights and .The route to conquer Phu Khe. at the level of 2,079 metres above the sea level which is the highest mountain of the province and the highest of the Luang Phra Bang mountain range. This mountain is the borderline between Thai-Lao. The visitor can stand on the summit of the mountain of the two countries in order to create the feeling of impression. |

White water Rafting' Wa River which is the national rapids
The White water rafting of Wa River divide into upper part, middle part and the lower part of Wa River with the total distance of more than 120 kilometres. The stream is squeezed through a narrow gorge, the steepness of the mountain and the forest with the different difficulty in each part. The upper and the middle part are the toughest. The upper part of Wa River starts from Ban Sapan, Bo Kluea district and ends at Ban Sobmang, the total distance are about 40 kilometres. From Ban Sobmang to Ban Wangloon of Mae Charim district which will be the middle part of Wa River, the total distance are about 80 kilometres. There are many tough and famous rapids that take about 3-4 days or 2 nights 3 days (for the middle part). The level of difficulty is at level of 3-5 but there is some rapids that has the difficulty to the level 6 which can not be passed. |

To tour temples in Nan...the old town that is still alive: which comprised of the area in 2 parts which is in Nan city (heart of the city) with the area of 0.18 square kilometres and the area of Wiang Phra That Chae Haeng with the total area of 0.13 square kilometres so that the area has been protected correctly and maintain the value of the historical heritage and the important culture of the country forever. The area in the heart of the city (area of 0.18 square kilometres) with the important ancient remains in the heart of the city such as Ming Mueang Temple, Phumin Temple, Nan Naional Museum, Chang Kham Temple, King of Nan.s Teak House and another area with the total area of 0.13 square kilometres with the important ancient remains which are .PhraThat Chae Haeng Temple. which is the sacred place for Nan and the general people.

To tour the neighboring country to open the door to world heritage site of Luang Phra Bang
Huay Kone Border Check Point is the door to the neighboring country especially the travel to the world heritage site of Luang Phra Bang and including the tourism place in the area of Chaiya Buri district which has many interesting place such as Mueang Ngern and Mueang Hong Sa. There is old temple to visit. Moreover, every year of Chaiya Buri will have Elephant Festival with hundreds of elephants and there is many shows from the elephant. This border have the distance to Luang Phra Bang about 200 kilometres which the car and boat way.
The boat way will embark at Tha Chuang which is far from Mueang Hong Sa about 25 kilometres. After that cruise along Khong River to see the scenery on both side for 4 hours will reach Luang Phra Bang.
For Immigration
1. Using Passport : stamp from Thailand (Huay Kone) and Laos (Nam Ngern), be able to stay in Laos no longer than 30 days (Please do not forget to see the expiry date of your passport).
2. Border Pass : able to do the Border Pass at Chalerm Phrakiat district and the Provincial Cultural Hall. Please prepare 2 of 2 inches photos, 2 of copies ID Card. Doing the border pass can stay in Laos no longer than 3 days or 2 nights, 3 days and can not travel to other district. The Border cross fee is 100-150 baht
