"Golden Orange"

the unique orange with the shiny peel like gold, is the same type as tangerine but it is more bright and delicious because of the climate that day temperature is different from night time by 8 degree, therefore "Carotenoid Picment" in the peel changes green to gold. This orange is so famous that its name is included in provinceûs motto. In mid December, there are golden orange festival and Nan Red Cross event annually.
"Mafai Jeen"

(Chinese Baccaurea Ramiflora), found in China, has been introduced to Nan Province by Chinese for 80 years. It can be dried, sweetened, consumed without process. It is very useful in helping respiratory system and breathing.
Many menus are made from "Kai"

One of the seaweeds. Kai is in Zygnemataceae Species, green and long like hairs, grow underneath the stones in gully, river, and lake. Nan people call it "Kai" and "Tao" which is abundant in Nan River and Wa River. Kai can be cooked as Kai soup, Steamed Kai, and "Kai Prui", which is grilled, torn, and then fried with garlic, served with salt. ùùKai Pruiûû is similarly to "Hor Mok" in central area that includes coconut milk and mixed with spicy ingredi- ents such as dried chili, onion, garlic, shrimp paste, Leech Lime, pork, beef, then covered with banana leaf and steamed. Kai soup is very common soup that includes Kai, spicy ingre- dients, and meats.
Nampu

..Nampu.. in northern style is the mix of rice field crab, pound with lemongrass and turmeric, then squeezed. The liquid will then be stewed with lemongrass, turmeric, chili powder, salt, and lemonade. Nampu can be used in various menus such as Nampu chili paste, bamboo shoot, etc.
Kaeng Som Mueang

..Kaeng Som Mueang.. soup is different from central area that includes squeezed tamarind.Kaeng Som from Nan is yellow because of the turmeric. Ingredients include mixes of lemongrass, turmeric, paprika or chili, red onion, and. Shrimp Paste. Then mix tomato, Morning Glory,Ivy Gourd, fern, fish, sweet basil, lemonade. ..Som Poi.. or Acacia concinna is recommended as well
